10 Percent Airline Ticket Price Reduction Applies To Purchases As Of December 1

TANGERANG - A 10 percent decrease in plane ticket prices in the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru) periods only applies to bookings made as of December 1, 2024.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (API) or InJourney Airports, Faik Fahmi explained that the decrease in ticket prices also only applies to departures during the Nataru period, namely December 19, 2024 to January 3, 2025.

Furthermore, Faik said that people who had purchased tickets for departure from December 19, 2024 to January 3, 2025 before December 1, could not enjoy a decrease in plane ticket prices.

"This is valid from December 1st, for departures from December 19 to January 3, for those who issue tickets after December 1," he said at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday, December 4.

In addition, Faik said the decrease in ticket prices also only applies to domestic flights, including for extra flights. During the Nataru holiday period, the airport will also operate 24 hours.

"For domestic, but also for extra flights. If airline colleagues want to add more flights, it will also apply. Our airport is open 24 hours during Nataru," he said.

To reduce the ticket price, continued Faik, API lowered the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) or airport tax by 50 percent. This includes a 50 percent reduction in Aircraft Placement and Storage Service Rates (PJP4U).

The Landing Service for Aircraft Placement and Storage (PJP4U) is a fee imposed by the airport for airlines.

"So our policy is 50 percent for PSC, but we also reduce 50 percent of PJP4U for airlines. So there are those who benefit from airlines which are 50 percent PJP4U, for PSC, 50 percent of passengers, that's an average of around Rp75,000," he said.
