WSKT Builds 800 Kilometers Of Toll Roads During The Last Decade

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has built a toll road of more than 800 kilometers (km) in the last decade, with 40 percent of its construction through investment.

In addition, WSKT has also built as many as 88 National Strategic Projects (PSN) in the last 10 years, of which 65 projects have been completed and the remaining 23 PSN are in the development stage.

Waskita Karya President Director Muhammad Hanugroho explained that the company has built 57 connectivity projects such as toll roads, bridges and Light Rail Transit (LRT).

Then, build 23 water infrastructure such as dams and irrigation and there are six Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) projects, both in the form of a Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) and a Domestic Gas Network (Jargas) and two building projects including universities and factories.

"Through investment in 18 toll roads, Waskita has contributed more than 800 km long of toll roads that have been operating or 40 percent of the additional toll roads operating since 2016," said the man who is familiarly called Oho at the Public Expose at Waskita Heritage Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26.

Oho explained that various WSKT toll road projects have produced a multiplier effect, including absorbing more than 4,000 workers and having an impact of IDR 5 trillion on the national economy per year, which results from 18 toll roads in the food, tourism and logistics sectors.

In addition, he said, Waskita Karya took part in the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

To date, there are 12 WSKT IKN projects with a total value of IDR 8.1 trillion.

He added that there were five values of the IKN project contract that were carried out, including the State Secretariat Building Package 3 worth Rp1.6 trillion, the IKN Segment 5A Toll Road (Balang Island) worth Rp1.2 trillion and the ASN 3 Flats worth Rp1.1 trillion.

Then, the Coordinating Ministry Building for Coordinator 4 worth Rp.874 billion and Jalan Feeder District IKN worth Rp. 660 billion.

"The progress of four of the five large IKN projects is already above 90 percent. Waskita is committed to completing all IKN projects on time so that they can function immediately," he said.

Overall, Oho said, currently the company is working on 69 ongoing projects with a total value of IDR 44.4 trillion.

60 percent of them are connectivity projects.

"In the future, Waskita Karya is ready to support the President's Astacita through infrastructure development that supports the nation's independence through food and water self-sufficiency," he said.
