SAM Air Acquisition, Yasa Artha Trimanunggal Will Send Food Aid To 3T Region

JAKARTA - logistics service company PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal announced that it has acquired the pioneering airline PT Semuwa Aviasi Mandiri (SAM Air).

This strategic step aims to expand the scope of logistics services to hard-to-access areas, including frontier, remote, and underdeveloped (3T) areas.

Just so you know, PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal was previously trusted by the central government to play an active role in providing even and quality food for the people of Indonesia.

"This acquisition is expected to have a long-term positive impact in supporting local economic growth and improving the quality of life of people in areas that have been underserved so far," said President Director of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, Yenna Yuniana in a statement to the media, Monday, November 25.

The acquisition was marked by the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for the purchase of two Cassa 212 aircraft and ten N219 aircraft from PT Dirgantara Indonesia on Friday, November 22.

The signing ceremony was attended by the President Director of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, Yenna Yuniana, President Director of SAM Air, and Putri Ramadhani M., as Vice President of Marketing representing PT Dirgantara Indonesia.

Yenna said this agreement is the first step in a larger series of strategic cooperation, which is expected to strengthen the air transportation ecosystem to support national food security.

"We hope that the acquisition and development of this fleet, we can ensure food distribution to areas that are difficult to reach, provide nutritious food access to all Indonesian people, without exception," explained Yenna.

The President Director of SAM Air Agus Priyanto said the same thing. Agus said, this collaboration opens up greater opportunities for us to contribute to the nation.

"We are very proud to be working with PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal and PT Dirgantara Indonesia in expanding pioneering flight services, especially in supporting food distribution to 3T areas and providing air transportation modes in the Indonesian archipelago," said Agus.

He faced this step not only to improve SAM Air's logistical capabilities, but to benefit the welfare of the community.

Agus also emphasized that this collaboration will allow SAM Air to provide more effective and efficient services, especially in meeting food needs in areas that were previously difficult to access.

The delivery of the Cassa 212 aircraft is planned for March 2025, while the N219 aircraft is scheduled to arrive in mid-2027.

The two types of aircraft will be used optimally to support national food supplies to remote areas, as well as become air transportation modes for the Indonesian archipelago.

He ensured that PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal together with SAM Air were ready to support the government's program in providing nutritious food for free, ensuring that each inch of this country could benefit from the National Food Assistance program.

"Through the National Food Assistance program, PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal together with SAM Air are ready to be part of the solution to food security problems, by reaching and distributing nutritious food to all corners of the country, including archipelagic areas and remote areas," he said.
