Pupuk Kaltim Again Maintains Platinum Predicate At The 2024 SNI Award

JAKARTA - As part of efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic products in the midst of global challenges, the Indonesian Government focuses on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim/PKT), as a major player in the fertilizer industry, again shows its dedication in achieving standard advantages by achieving the 2024 SNI Award, a prestigious award that affirms their commitment to innovation and sustainability.

On the night of the Standardization for Sustainable Economic Transformation', Thursday, November 21, Pupuk Kaltim received the title of Platinum. This event was held by the National Standardization Agency (BSN) in a series of National Quality Months (BMN).

President Director of Pupuk Kaltim, Budi Wahju Soesilo, expressed his gratitude for all the dedication of the people of Pupuk Kaltim so that they managed to maintain the title of Platinum.

"This is the result of the hard work of all of us, and we should be proud of this achievement. The implementation of SNI is not only a standard in operations, but has become a culture that encourages us to continue to excel. This is in line with our mission to make the best contribution to the agricultural and petrochemical sectors, as well as support the sustainable transformation of Indonesia's economy," he said.

As a major player in the fertilizer industry, Pupuk Kaltim continues to strengthen commitment to sustainability through various Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The company is actively conducting environmental conservation, such as rehabilitation of mangrove forests and coral reef conservation, as well as transitioning using renewable energy sources for office operational activities. Factory revamping is also a strategic step to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.

By utilizing big data-based Smart Production technology and implementing ISO 9001: 2015 certification, Pupuk Kaltim not only maintains product quality such as urea, NPK, and ammonia, but also sets new standards for efficiency and innovation. These measures further strengthen the company's position in supporting a greener national economy transformation.

The SNI Award is the highest award given by the Indonesian government to organizations that consistently implement SNI with superior and sustainable performance. Previously in 2023, Pupuk Kaltim also received the SNI Award for the title of Platinum in the category of Large Organization for Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Health, Textile, Energy and Mineral Resources Products. The award received this year further strengthens the consistency of East Kalimantan Pupuk in the implementation of SNI in all operational aspects of the company.
