JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Land Transportation will summon the association of transportation entrepreneurs in the aftermath of an accident at KM 92 Tol Cipularang, West Java a few days ago.

Director General of Land Transportation, Inspector General of Police Risyapudin Nursin said the summoning of the association was a follow-up to address the incident.

"We will immediately gather the entire Association of Goods Transport Entrepreneurs along with all Heads of the Provincial/Regency/City Transportation Service to follow up on this incident and as a mitigation measure for recurring incidents," said Risyapudin in an official statement, Wednesday, November 13.

Not only will Risyapudin summon the association, Risyapudin said that his party will conduct inspections of the Motor Vehicle Periodic Test facility in the Motor Vehicle Periodic Test Implementation Unit in the Jabodetabek area.

"We will work together with the police and the Transportation Service in several locations to further carry out safety inspections on freight transport trucks," he said.

Currently, continued Risyapudin, his party is coordinating and investigating with the Korlantas Polri and the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) to examine the cause of the accident.
