JAKARTA - Strengthening climate risk management in the infrastructure sector, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) and Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) signed a cooperation agreement related to Technical Assistance to Climate Risk Management Policy and Climate-Related Sectoral Guidelines.

The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out directly by Rizki Pribadi Hasan as Interim Chief Executive Officer/Chief Financial Officer IIF, Lestari Andaluscia Umardin as Chief Risk Officer IIF with Tiza Mafira as Director of CPI Indonesia.

"This collaboration aims to integrate climate-related risks into strategic planning, governance, and the IIF risk management framework. This will allow IIF to better manage financial risks due to climate change and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development in Indonesia," Rizki explained, in a press statement, Tuesday, November 12.

In line with the economic sector mandated to IIF, collaboration with CPI is expected to produce a comprehensive analysis related to climate risk. This analysis will be a strategic reference for IIF in formulating climate risk management policies.

Furthermore, IIF and CPI will work together in developing the right strategy and mitigation steps. This is done to ensure and increase the contribution of IIF as a financing institution that supports the achievement of the Indonesian Government's Net Zero Emission target by 2060.

IIF and CPI will align these efforts with standard rules and approaches and strategies that refer to relevant guidelines and frameworks both at the national and global levels. This collaboration is concrete evidence of IIF and CPI's commitment to contribute to the sustainable development of Indonesia's infrastructure.
