The Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) stated his party's readiness to support the construction program of 3 million houses by utilizing assets originating from the confiscation of Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI).

Director General of State Assets Rionald Silaban revealed that his party will soon meet with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait to discuss further about the potential for land utilization.

"Regarding the program of 3 million houses, I will soon meet with Pak Ara, the Minister of Housing, to discuss this," he said during a media briefing in Bandung Regency, Thursday, November 7.

Rionald added that DJKN will be ready to fully support the use of land originating from BLBI confiscation and will compile a list of assets that can be considered by the Ministry of PKP.

"We will see which property assets are in demand by the ministry led by Mr. Ara," he said.

Rionald said that his party will provide a list of property assets that may be in demand, but he has not been able to provide details or specifically which confiscated assets such as Tommy Suharto's assets, which are one of the BLBI debtors, will be used for the program.

"We do not specifically discuss certain assets. What is clear is that we will prepare a list of these assets because basically the construction of houses also depends on public interest in these locations," he explained.

In addition, Rionald has not been able to provide further information about which locations are for the house in the program.

"I have a list of locations in several areas, and later we will see which options are most appropriate. However, to be sure, we are very supportive so that the use of these assets can be carried out immediately," he added.

Rionald revealed that he had communicated by telephone with Minister Maruarar and would soon meet to ensure the most appropriate location options.

With the plan to utilize BLBI assets, Rionald hopes that his party can contribute to realizing a program of 3 million houses that can help meet housing needs in Indonesia.

Regarding the status of the BLBI Task Force, Rionald explained that the task force was until December 31, 2024.

However, he did not explain further in 2025 regarding whether the continuation of the BLBI task force had changed or not.

"We will continue in accordance with the current provisions, in the form of a Task Force. Regarding the shape, we will see the progress later," he said.
