After Meeting Minister Of Transportation Dudy, Erick Said There Are Logistics Regulations To Change

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that he had discussed simplifying regulations on the logistics side together with the Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi.

Erick said that together with the Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo and Deputy Minister of SOEs, Dony Oskaria held this meeting to strengthen coordination between ministries. One of them is related to the logistics sector.

"So for this logistics we try to map again everywhere we can do. The Minister of Transportation encourages how the regulation can be a solution earlier and thank you sir for the revision," Erick said in a press conference after a meeting with the Minister of Transportation Dudy, at the Ministry of Transportation, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 29.

In addition, Erick said that he and Dudy also discussed transportation integration and infrastructure to support the tourism sector.

According to Erick, support for the tourism sector is important. Because this sector can be a source of domestic economic growth.

"We also see how the integration of infrastructure transportation can also encourage the growth of tourists rather than those who come to Indonesia, or Indonesian tourists in the country. Because that is also part of one of the economic growth that we can support," he explained.

Meanwhile, Dudy was reluctant to explain in more detail what regulations would be changed.

He only emphasized that as a regulator, the Ministry of Transportation wants to relax for ease of doing business.

"We as regulators will support SOEs in carrying out their activities so that they can relax more, there is relaxation for business activities," said Dudy.
