JAKARTA - Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) reported significant progress in the development of the Non-Conventional Oil and Gas (MNK) project in the Rokan Working Area (WK).
One of the MNK exploration wells in the spotlight is Gulamo DET-1 Well. The main fracture process in the Brownshale formation layer has been successfully carried out. The initial results of the hydrocarbon flow test (flowback test) show positive indications of the flow of oil and gas hydrocarbons.
"The results of the post-fracture achievement at Gulamo Wells are an important step in proving the potential of MNK in Rokan WK," said PHR's UPstream Business EVP, Andre Wijanarko, Tuesday, October 29.
Andre added that his party is optimistic that with this positive result, the development of MNK in Rokan will continue as planned.
"The project economic evaluation is still being carried out. We are optimistic that with more complete data, economic evaluation will be more accurate," added Andre.
Meanwhile, the Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D. Suryodipuro, welcomed the progress of MNK's achievements in Gulamo.
The fracturing results of MNK Gulamo in the Rokan Block have great potential to contribute to the discovery of new oil and gas to support national resilience and are in line with the long term plan (LTP). The success of fracturing technology used in the MNK Gulamo project will be a step for implementation in other MNK fields," said Hudi.
This project, added Hudi, is expected to be able to increase national oil and gas production and extend the productive life of WK Rokan.
