The Price Of Coal Acuan RI October Rose To 131.17 US Dollars Per Ton

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set the Reference Coal Price (HBA) in October. This is stated in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 277.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2024 concerning Reference Metal Mineral Prices and Reference Coal Prices for October 2024.

Head of the Communication, Public Information and Cooperation Service (KLIK) Agus Cahyono Adi explained that the Reference Mineral Price (HMA) in October was used as the basis for calculating the Metal Mineral Patokan Price (HPM) in the same month.

"Meanwhile, as stated in the Ministerial Decree, the Reference Coal Price (HBA) in October 2024 is also used as the basis for calculating the Coal Patokan Price (HPB) this month," Agus said, Friday, October 25.

In this Ministerial Decree, HBA was set in October for coal commodities of 6,322 kcal per kg GAR, a total motion of 12.26 percent, a total of Sulphur 0.66 percent, and Ash 7.94 percent at 131.17 US dollars per ton.

"This figure is up from the HBA in September for 125.15 US dollars per ton," added Agus.

Furthermore, HBA is set for coal commodity I, in equal value of 5.300 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32 percent, Total Sulphur 0.75 percent, and Ash 6.04 percent.

"HBA I is set at the level of 79.69 US dollars per ton," he continued.

Meanwhile, Reference Prices for Coal commodity II in equal value of 4.100 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73 percent, Total Sulphur 0.23 percent and Ash 3.90 percent are set at 52.41 US dollars per ton.

As for the reference price for coal III, in equality, the value of water is 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture is 44.30 percent, Total Sulphur is 0.24 percent and Ash is 3.88 percent at 34.67 US dollars per ton.
