JAKARTA - KAI Commuter will apply a tariff of IDR 1 for all Jabodetabek KRL trips specifically on October 20.

The application of this tariff is in order to welcome the President and Vice President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was sworn in on Sunday morning.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Joni Martinus said the application of the Rp1 tariff was an assignment from the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

"On October 20, KCI in accordance with the assignment from the Ministry of Transportation implemented Rp1. So yesterday we had a meeting with the Ministry of Transportation as well and we have an official letter implementing Rp1 for one day," he told reporters. met in Jakarta, Saturday, October 19.

Joni explained that although the train tariff applied was IDR 1, the public needed to have a minimum balance of IDR 5,000 for both Multi Trip Cards (KMT) and electronic money.

"Of course, users who want to enjoy it have at least IDR 5,000 left," he said.

Joni predicts that Jabodetabek KRL passengers on October 20 will reach 1.2 million people per day.

The average number of passengers on weekdays is 800,000 to 900,000 people.

"Because there will be a crowd tomorrow on the 20th, our prediction is that it can reach more than 1,000,000 passengers. It could be 1,200,000. This means that this is indeed an increase above the average," he explained.

To anticipate the density of passengers, continued Joni, his party has added 325 personnel. Thus, the total is approximately 1,700 personnel.

"For the addition officers, there are 325. It is distributed at all stations," he said.
