Teten Masduki Calls Budi Arie Will Be Minister Of Cooperatives In The Prabowo Era

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki said that Budi Arie Seitiadi, who is currently the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, will replace his duties as minister of cooperatives in the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet.

"This morning I spoke with Pak Budi Arie who will be placed in the minister of the cooperative. A few days earlier I also spoke with Mr. Maman who will become the minister of SMEs," said Teten as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 17.

Teten said, his party is committed to providing full support to the two ministerial candidates.

Moreover, he said, in the future government, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs will be divided into two separate ministries, namely the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of SMEs.

However, Teten is optimistic that the two ministries will continue to work together synergically.

The reason is, cooperatives have proven to be an effective forum for uniting and strengthening business actors, especially micro-enterprises.

He will also convey the homework and problems that have been faced by cooperatives and MSMEs to the two ministerial candidates at the time of handing over positions.

Previously, news had been circulating about the plan to establish 46 ministries and institutions in the Parbowo-Gibran government.

The new government structure involves the formation of several new ministries as well as the separation of tasks in several existing ministries.

One of them is the separation of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs into two separate ministries, namely the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of SMEs. In addition, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing will also be divided into two, namely the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Public Housing.
