Prabowo's Policy To Continue Jokowi's Economic Foundation Makes Investors Happy

JAKARTA - Observer Ujang Komaruddin believes that President-elect Prabowo's commitment to continuing the economic foundation of the Jokowi era will provide certainty for investors.

According to him, Prabowo, who has a master's background, understands very well the importance of stability for economic growth.

With stability in all sectors, Ujang believes, the Indonesian economy will skyrocket in the Prabowo era.

"I believe in Prabowo's commitment to building a sustainable economy. Jokowi built the foundation, Prabowo will continue," Ujang said in his statement, Thursday, September 25.

Ujang assessed that consistency in continuing policies in the economic sector is PR Indonesia.

Since Indonesia did not have a GBHN, there have often been disassembled institutions or ministries which have made it difficult for stability to achieve.

Therefore, Ujang assessed that this was Prabowo's momentum to create cross-governmental stability.

"It is very important to maintain the economic foundation of the next era while continuing to build growth," said Ujang.

According to him, Prabowo's move will be a reference for investors. Therefore, he believes that Prabowo will provide certainty in the form of legal certainty, political stability, and will maintain economic stability that has been built in the Jokowi era.

"P Prabowo's steps will be used as a reference for investors to invest in Indonesia. Namely with legal certainty, political stability, and eradicating corruption," said Ujang.

What is no less important is Prabowo's belief that he will not dismantle the economic foundation like what often happens every transition to power.

According to him, Prabowo's consistency in maintaining the foundation of the government related to the economy will provide certainty for investors.

Continuation, he said, would give a message that Indonesia would no longer dismantle policy pairs every five years.

"There is confidence (from investors) that Prabowo will continue the economic foundation of the Jokowi era," he said.

Previously, Prabowo expressed his enthusiasm to maintain the strong foundation that President Jokowi had inherited.

"We consider the strategy and program that has been initiated by Mr. Joko Widodo and his government as a foundation, a very strong foundation, and we will build on that foundation," said Prabowo.
