JCI Sets Highest Record, Market Capitalization Reaches IDR 13,390 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) this week touched a new record at the close at the level of 7,812.13. Where, the previous record was at the level of 7,798.15.

In the movement on Friday, September 13, the JCI touched the level of 7,828.97. Even though it was reddened to the level of 7,775.64.

In addition, the market capitalization value also set a record high of IDR 13,390 trillion on Friday, September 13. This amount increased by 4.46 percent, beating the previous record on Thursday, September 12 of IDR 13,384 trillion.

Citing IDX data, Saturday, September 14, data a week showed the highest increase occurred in the average stock exchange daily transaction value of 40.1 percent to Rp14.98 trillion from Rp10.69 trillion in the previous week.

Then, the average daily transaction volume of the Exchange increased by 10.79 percent to 23.34 billion shares from 21.97 billion shares the previous week.

The average daily transaction frequency of the Exchange during the week also increased 1.66 percent to 1.14 million transactions from 1.12 million transactions a week earlier.

The stock market capitalization also increased by 1.31 percent to Rp13,390 trillion from Rp13,217 trillion last week.

Today's movement of foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of IDR 17.95 trillion and throughout 2024 foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of IDR 51.40 trillion.
