JAKARTA - A number of toll roads in the Jakarta, Tangerang to Bekasi areas will experience an increase in tariffs in the near future.

Toll tariff adjustments are routinely made every 2 years in order to maintain investment value from the influence of inflation. There are at least 3 toll roads that will increase in tariffs in the near future.

The three are the Inner City Toll Road (Pluit and Cawang Tanjung Priok) East Ancol (Pluit), BSD Toll Road and Cibitung Toll Road Section 1.

All of these toll roads are reported to have received the blessing of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono for a tariff increase in the near future.

The following is a list of 3 toll roads that will experience an increase in tariffs:

1. Inner City Toll Road

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk announced that it will adjust the tariff for the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road (Dalkot). Therefore, road users need to be prepared to increase their electronic money balance.

The tariff adjustment will be applied to the inner toll road in the city of Cawang Pluit. There are two sections that will experience adjustments, including the Cawang 'Pluit' Toll Road and Cawang Tanjung Priok 'East Ancol' Toll Road.

"In the near future, tariff adjustments will be applied for the Inner City Toll Road, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of PUPR No. 2130/KPTS/M/2024," wrote @jasamargametropolitan, quoted from his upload, Monday, September 9.

The increase in toll rates is a regular tariff adjustment and has been regulated in Article 48 paragraph (3) of Law (UU) Number 38 of 2004 concerning Roads and Article 68 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation (PP) Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads.

On the other hand, it is not planned how much the tariff increases and when the adjustment will be made. In line with the plan, his party appealed to road users to prepare electronic balances before driving.

2. BSD Toll Road (Pondok Aren'Spong)

PT Bintaro Serpong as the holder of the BSD toll road concession also said that the managed toll road will increase in tariffs in the near future.

The plan to adjust the BSD toll tariff service fee has received the blessing of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono as stated in the Decree of the Minister of PUPR Number 2149/KPTS/M/2024.

"Starting September 15, 2024 at 00.00 WIB, toll tariff adjustments will be applied to the Pondok Aren Section," wrote the management of PT Bintaro Serpong Damai in its official Instagram account, quoted Friday, September 13.

There are 8 sections that will apply tariff adjustments. Among them, Pondok Ranji Utama Toll Gate towards Jakarta, Pondok Ranji Utama Toll Gate towards Serpong, Pondok Aren 1 Toll Gate and Pondok Aren 2 Toll Gate.

Then, Serpong 2 Toll Gate, Serpong 3 Toll Gate, Serpong 6 Toll Gate and finally Serpong 7 Toll Gate.

As additional information, PT Bintaro Serpong Damai, which holds a 7.25 km toll road concession, last adjusted tariffs in 2019. Meanwhile, tariff evaluations and adjustments are carried out every 2 years.

Later, the new toll tariff is regulated for class I at Rp9,500, Group II and III at Rp14,000 and Group IV & V at Rp18,500.

3. Cibitung'Cilincing Section 1 (Cibitung'S Asih Match)

The Cibitung 'Cilincing' Toll Road is also included in the list of toll roads that will increase in tariffs in the near future.

However, PT CTP Tollways as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) has not announced for sure when the implementation of the increase will be carried out.

Even so, PT CTP has detailed the amount of the tariff increase as stated in the Decree of the Minister of PUPR No. 2112/KPTS/M/2024 dated August 19, 2024.
