Ahead Of The Government Transition, Jokowi Asks His Ministers Not To Create Extreme Policies That Have The Potential To Cause Turbulence

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet not to make extreme policies ahead of the transition to the new government. Especially those that can cause turmoil and harm the community.

The government will change from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the elected president Prabowo Subianto on October 20.

"Jagan makes extreme policies, especially those related to the interests of many people, which have the potential to harm the wider community, which has the potential to cause turmoil," he said at the opening of the pulapurna cabinet meeting, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Friday, September 13.

According to Jokowi, maintaining a conditionive situation during this transitional government period is very much needed. He said, Indonesia needs stability to carry out development.

Therefore, he asked his ministers to maintain conditions so that there should be no turmoil until the new government is formed.

"Maintaining a conducive situation, we need stability to continue to grow, we need to carry out development. So make sure there are no ripples of turmoil until an active government is formed," he said.

Jokowi said ensuring the condition of the situation remained conditional necessary to maintain people's purchasing power, inflation and economic growth.

"We must be able to maintain people's purchasing power, maintain inflation, maintain growth, maintain security, maintain order," he explained.
