The Ministry Of Industry Is Said To Get Funds From The ESDM PNBP To Support Downstream

The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is said to be getting budget allocations originating from part of the non-tax state revenue (PNBP) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

It is known that the distribution of the ESDM PNBP to the Ministry of Industry was proposed by Commission VII DPR RI in a Working Meeting (Raker) with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Thursday, September 12.

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said additional budgets from part of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources PNBP would be allocated to support downstream policies. This has also been approved by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.

"Earlier, I briefly heard information that in the Working Meeting between Commission VII and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, it was also conveyed that Commission VII plans to allocate PNBP from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to the Ministry of Industry in order to support the downstream program," Agus said in a Working Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 12.

Agus explained, some of the PNBP generated by the ESDM mineral and coal sector will be allocated to support downstream programs and manufacturing industry development programs in the country. This includes the development of smelters and downstreaming in other fields such as the agro industry.

"So if possible, it is stated that there is an agreement between Commission VII and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources that the PNBP will be partially addressed to the Ministry of Industry. If possible, the agreement will also be included to strengthen it," he said.

Regarding the plan, Agus said, his party had discussed it in the last few weeks regarding the basic needs for industrial development programs.

"Then also the addition of the budget on top of the basic needs that can support community strengthening or empowerment programs, so that's roughly what we will design going forward. But, basically downstreaming," said Agus.

As additional information, currently the Ministry of Industry's budget ceiling for the 2025 Fiscal Year (TA) has been set at IDR 2.51 trillion, down from the previous year's allocation of IDR 3.6 trillion.

In detail, the Ministry of Industry's budget based on the TA 2025 work unit for the Secretariat General (Setjen) is IDR 294.1 billion, the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Agro Industry IDR 99.10 billion and the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries (IKFT) IDR 100.2 billion.

Then, for the Directorate General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics (Ilmate) amounting to Rp106.8 billion, the Directorate General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) Rp328.3 billion and for the Inspectorate General (Itjen) Rp44.2 billion.

Then, for the Standardization and Industrial Services Policy Agency (BSKJI) amounting to Rp676.8 billion, the Directorate General of Resilience, Region and International Industrial Access (KPAII) Rp99 billion and for the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) Rp770.8 billion.
