The Makassar Ministry Of Health Hospital Built By PTPP Inaugurated By President Jokowi

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), as one of the Construction and Investment SOEs in Indonesia, inaugurated the Makassar Vertical UPT Hospital Project or the Makassar Ministry of Health Hospital located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province, on Friday 6 September.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated directly with the suppression of the siren button and the signing of the inscription as a symbolic form. Also present at the inauguration ceremony were First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Prof Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Head of the South Sulawesi Health Office Ishaq Iskandar, Mayor of Makassar Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto, and President Director of PTPP Novel Arsyad and his staff.

The UPT Vertical Makassar Hospital project is the largest hospital in Eastern Indonesia which has a building area of 144,280 m2 with a contract value of Rp1.56 trillion. This PTPP based hospital is a 'Superhub', namely a referral specialist hospital to treat chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and cancer, which are devoted to accommodating patients in central parts of Indonesia such as Kalimantan, and Eastern Indonesia such as Sulawesi to Papua.

The scope of PTPP's work on this hospital project consists of 11 buildings, namely podiums, heart services, brain services and cancer services, as well as several excellent facilities, mainly cyclotron facilities. This cyclotron facility is the first facility owned by the Ministry of Health Hospital throughout Indonesia to produce radioisotopes to diagnose and treat cancer.

In his remarks, Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that of the eight hospital projects that have been inaugurated throughout Indonesia, the Makassar Ministry of Health Hospital is the largest hospital.

"And to this day, I have inaugurated eight hospitals roughly this big. This morning in Surabaya, then this afternoon the Minister of Health was invited by the Minister of Health to Makassar. But indeed the biggest one is in Makassar," said the President.

In addition, the President of the Republic of Indonesia was again amazed and said that this hospital has the same quality as a five-star hotel.

"The Makassar Ministry of Health Hospital consists of four towers, 12 floors, with a total of 920 beds equivalent to five-star hotel facilities because it has super modern equipment. I entered earlier, how come this exceeds a five-star hotel. Then what I was amazed by was that the hospital equipment was all super modern, I didn't know how many months of learning how to operate digital equipment like that, lab paints, MRI, CT scans, super modern operating rooms," he said.

President Director of PTPP Novel Arsyad said that the inauguration of the UPT Vertical Makassar Hospital was the inauguration of the third hospital project after previously the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo had inaugurated the construction project of the MCHC Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital, in the city of Bandung, and the Dharmais Cancer Hospital Project, in DKI Jakarta, at the end of last August.

"Alhamdulillah, another PTPP Hospital project that has been inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The Makassar Vertical UPT Hospital project or Makassar Ministry of Health Hospital is the largest hospital that has been built by PTPP and with the completion of this project, it is clear evidence that PTPP has also participated in supporting government programs in the construction of health facilities throughout Indonesia," said Novel.

With the completion of several hospital projects that have been built by PTPP, of course, the company's specialization is mainly in the construction of health facilities that have good quality and international standard.
