JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Land Transportation has prepared 847 bus units and bus crews to support and succeed in the XXI National Sports Week (PON) in Aceh and North Sumatra.

The signing of the Handover of Borrowing and Using the XXI PON Support Bus was carried out between the Secretary of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Amirulloh and the Acting Governor of Aceh Province, Safrizal ZA at the Governor's Office, Banda Aceh, Thursday, September 5.

Secretary General of Land Transportation, Amirulloh said that the 847 units of the bus consisted of 480 units of micro-sized buses that would attach to athletes and officials with the shuttle system in Aceh.

"Meanwhile, in North Sumatra 367 buses consisting of 274 medium-sized buses and 93 microbus units are served," he said in an official statement, Thursday, September 5.

Furthermore, Amirulloh said the support buses came from Java and Sumatra Island. Buses from Java Island have been sent in stages from August 28 to 29, 2024 from Patimban Port, West Java to Belawan Port in North Sumatra.
