Deputy Minister Of Finance Suahasil Calls Faisal Basri A Critical Economist

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance of Indonesia Suahasil Nazara expressed his condolences for the passing of senior economist Faisal Basri, who is one of the extraordinary economic observers.

"We are all grieving today because we lost one of the extraordinary tabg economic observers, namely bro faisal basri," he said at the funeral home, Thursday, September 5.

According to Suahasil, Faisal Basri's personal figure in his memory is a lecturer who has a distinctive style style when he studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia.

"Entering the class with a very relaxed style of bringing coffee, then teaching us, and giving us a lot of insight into the world economy, as well as the Indonesian economy," he said.

Suahasil said that he had followed and continued that the deceased was the Head of the Department of Economic Sciences at FE UI.

According to him, the figure of Faisal Basri is an economic observer who is very, very critical, but also gives many perspectives that are input for policymakers in the government.

"We really pay attention to what he said, it's extraordinary, because what is called in the government needs input from all people who are observers of our economy," he explained.
