Minister Basuki Asks For Additional Budget Of IDR 20 Trillion To Build IKN In 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of PUPR and Acting Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) in 2025 still requires a fairly large budget. To complete infrastructure in the new capital city of Indonesia, a budget of IDR 24.51 trillion is needed.

Meanwhile, currently, the budget allocation from the indicative morning of the Ministry of PUPR is only IDR 4.19 trillion, so there is still a budget shortage of IDR 20.32 trillion.

"There are still additional proposals for the 2025 budget for the completion and completion of IKN development in the field of Highways, Cipta Karya and Housing of IDR 20.32 trillion. So, we need a budget of IDR 24.51 trillion for IKN. What has just been allocated in the indicative ceiling is IDR 4.19 trillion, so the shortfall is still IDR 20.32 trillion," Basuki said at a Working Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.

In detail, the additional budget requirements for IKN development include the construction of toll roads, national roads to the construction of the VVIP IKN airport, which requires an additional budget of IDR 13.82 trillion.

Then, a budget of IDR 6.25 trillion is needed for the construction of a number of office buildings of ministries and state institutions, a drinking water supply system (SPAM) to the construction of schools and health centers.

Next, an additional budget of IDR 0.25 trillion is needed to continue the construction of TNI vertical housing and the procurement of Harmag in 47 ASN and Hankam towers.

As a whole, the Ministry of PUPR proposed an additional 2025 budget of IDR 136.95 trillion. However, in the 2025 budget ceiling, the allocation for the Ministry of PUPR was only IDR 75 trillion.

Basuki also proposed an additional budget of IDR 61.31 trillion for infrastructure development needs next year. This addition is believed to be possible because according to the information there is still fiscal space for Elected President Prabowo Subianto to provide additional budget.

"Please direct and support, especially additional budgets. Hopefully the members of the budget agency can understand the budget shortage because this, according to information, there is still fiscal space for the elected president to allocate it, definitely through the budget agency," said Basuki.
