Deputy Minister Sudaryono Wants Farmers To Buy Subsidized Fertilizer Using An ID Card

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono encouraged farmers to use identity cards (KTP) to purchase subsidized fertilizers.

"We want how as much as possible farmers use their ID cards to collect subsidized fertilizers," Sudaryono reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 22.

According to him, currently, at the provincial and city levels, the use of farmer cards to ID cards for fertilizer collection is still not uniform.

"However, in some districts and cities even though farmer cards can be multiplied. This farmer card is brought by retailers and they take care of taking this fertilizer. So, the use of farmer cards has no more problems and as long as the volume of subsidized fertilizer availability is actually safe," he explained.

Meanwhile, President Director of Pusri Daconi Khotob said for South Sumatra, the total stock of subsidized fertilizer provided by Pusri is 20,796 tons or 179 percent of the minimum stock provision.

With urea details of 10,395 tons. NPK of 10,393 tons and NPK of Formula 8 tons.

"The realization of the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Pusri has exceeded the target of 141 percent when compared to the Ministry of Agriculture Number 744. And it has reached 90 percent of Ministry of Agriculture Number 249, namely the procedure for determining allocations and retail prices for subsidized fertilizers in the agricultural sector," he said.

Previously, the government increased the allocation of national subsidized fertilizers in 2024 to 9.55 million tons from the previous 4.7 million tons through the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture (Kepmentan) Number 249 of 2024.
