Realization Of Food Aid Distribution In Kapuas Hulu Capai 90,120 Kilograms

JAKARTA - Head of Perum Bulog Branch Putussibau Kapuas Hulu Kartika said the realization of the distribution of food aid in the form of rice in Kapuas Hulu has now reached 90,120 kilograms from 184,810 kilograms for the allocation in August 2024.

"Of the total aid, each recipient of the aid gets 10 kilograms of rice in the hope of easing the burden on the underprivileged," Kartika said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 22.

Kartika said that Bulog Kapuas Hulu only served as a distributor to distribution points in each sub-district, with the hope that the food assistance was right on target to help the underprivileged.

He said the total number of food aid recipients in Kapuas Hulu was 18,481 recipients.

"Bulog Putussibau continues to support government programs, according to our authority only as distributors," he said.

Regarding the availability of food security, Kartika said that currently the stock of a million commodities in Bulog Putussibau warehouses is still available to meet the needs of the community.

For the stock of medium rice as much as 253,190 kilograms, premium rice as much as 40,440 kilograms, sugar as much as 1,100 kilograms and cooking oil as much as 1,092 liters.

"There is still medium rice on the way as much as 1,500 kilograms, the stock is sufficient for the next few months," he said.

Kartika hopes that with food assistance and the availability of a number of basic necessities in Bulog Putussibau, people will be helped and easily get quality rice and sugar at affordable prices.

"We continue to strive to maintain the stability of food availability and prices for basic necessities, hopefully the community will be helped," said Kartika.
