Minister Basuki Targets Stadium Preparations In Aceh For XXI PON Completed At The End Of August

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) targets the arena or stadium to be used for the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) in 2024 to be completed by the end of August.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said PON XXI was a national event. So, he said, all parties must take responsibility for the success.

"I ask that August 31, 2024 be completed, neat and functional. It must be good and do not reduce the quality," Basuki said in a written statement, quoted Thursday, August 22.

The XXI PON is carried out by the North Sumatra National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) of the Directorate General of Highways, including completing the construction of the Sport Center Road in North Sumatra Province consisting of main roads, regional roads, parking lots and courtyards. building.

Sport Center Road support consists of four work packages. Package I is, the main road is 2.1 kilometers (km) with 32 percent progress. This package is carried out by contractor PT Trimurti Perkasa with a budget of IDR 71.9 billion.

Then Package II, which is a 1.1 km long road with 32 percent progress, was carried out by contractor PT Arkan Putra Tama with a budget of IDR 34.5 billion.

Next is Package III, namely parking and building courtyards whose progress is 32 percent, which is carried out by PT Sumatra Pioneer Building materials with a budget of IDR 66.1 billion.

Finally Package IV, which is a 8 meter (m) long road, parking and parking square with a progress achievement of 45 percent. This project was carried out by PT Gardapaini Sarana Indonesia with a budget of IDR 38.7 billion.

In addition, to support PON XXI, North Sumatra BBPJN has also built a gateball area in Medan Deli District, Medan City. This area consists of five gateball fields targeted for completion on August 31, 2024.

Currently, three of the five fields have been completed with a total progress of up to 39 percent. The construction of the gateball area is carried out by CV contractors. Minggos Putra with a contract value of Rp11 billion.

Meanwhile, Head of PJN Regency Region IV North Sumatra Province Rahmad Parulian ensured that the North Sumatra Sport Center road infrastructure will be completed on August 31, 2024.

"The PON support is ready to be used on August 31, 2024, following other supporting utilities that will be perfected at the end of the year," he said.
