It Has Been Inaugurated By Jokowi, The Construction Of The National Asymptomatic Plaza IKN Costs IDR 381.7 Billion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has inaugurated the National Asymptomatic Plaza in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan, on Wednesday, August 14.

The National Axis is an iconic landscape in the core area of IKN in the form of a green open space connecting the Garuda Palace with the Kusuma Bangsa Park.

Plaza Ceremoni sendiri mulai dibangun sejak Desember 2020 dan telah selesai pada Desember 2023 dengan anggaran mencapai Rp381,7 miliar.

The construction is under the responsibility of the East Kalimantan Regional Settlement Infrastructure Agency (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR with the implementing contractor PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) and its Construction Management Consultant by PT Virama Karya (Persero) KSO PT Laras Sembada.

The National Axis Ceremony Plaza was built on a land of 9.45 hectares (ha) which is between the Garuda Palace and the Kusuma Bangsa Park and the right and left are the offices of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko).

The area also includes visitors centers, retail and galery, toilets and service areas, shared street, east and west plazas, central performances, forest trails and forest walks, main amphitheaters and mini amphitheaters.

"The inauguration of the National Ambu Ceremony Plaza is also a sign that the IKN infrastructure supporting the implementation of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence ceremony on August 17, 2024 will be ready," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in his official statement, written Thursday, August 15.

Later, the Plaza Ceremony will function in the Ceremonial Lawn area (Visitor Center, Amphitheater, Forest Trail, public toilet, and Retail/Gallery for MSMEs) which can accommodate invited guests, the holding of the ceremony and the supporting committee.
