Jokowi Regarding Presidential Decree On Moving The Capital City: Moving Home Is Complicated, Don't Make It Easy

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has not been able to confirm when the Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding the relocation of the capital city from Jakarta to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan can be signed.

Furthermore, Jokowi also reminded not to simplify the process of moving the capital city. He also likens moving houses to be complicated, let alone moving the capital city.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that the relocation of the capital city was not only an administrative matter, but also readiness in the field.

"We'll see later, because it's not just an administration issue, it's not the Presidential Decree problem, but we also have to look at the process in the field," he said.
