BALIKPAPAN - The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) said that a number of foreign investors from Japan to South Korea (South Korea) were interested in investing in the property sector in the archipelago, East Kalimantan.

"Well, it's true that there are foreign investors. If I'm not mistaken, there were four or five yesterday. Who? We'll wait for the game date. However, the countries are Japan, China, South Korea, Russia and Australia," said Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono to reporters at Hotel Nusantara IKN, Friday, August 9.

Agung said that some of the investors had immediately signed a letter of confirmation.

"Yesterday in the discussion which was led directly by the Acting Head of OIKN (Basuki Hadimuljono) some of it had already signed, it was confirmed because we offered the land here, yes confirm," said Agung.

"We'll wait for the game date, after confirming the stages until the groundbreaking or signing of the cooperation agreement (PKS). However, there are those countries," he continued.

He added that the foreign investors were interested in entering the property sector in the development of IKN in East Kalimantan.

"So, there are various properties. Starting from mixed use development, housing, smart homes, schools as well. We want to build a city, of course we need the main property. So, yesterday we invited (from the property sector)," said Agung.
