INDODAX Short Film Festival 2024: A Prestigious Event For Young Indonesian Film!

JAKARTA - INDODAX is again holding the 2024 INDODAX Short Film Festival (ISFF) annual event. With the theme "Trusted Visions, Timeless Stories", ISFF 2024 is ready to be a forum for young Indonesian filmmakers to show creativity in making short films.

The theme 'Trusted Visions, Timeless Stories' was chosen because every work produced with high trust and dedication will be able to create an eternal story. ISFF 2024 allows participants to innovate with the aim of producing short films that are impactful and memorable.

Entering its 6th year, ISFF 2024 presents a new challenge by targeting more participants than the previous year and the better quality of short films. The hope is that the positive trends created in previous years can spur young filmmakers from academics, communities, and others to compete and produce better works at all times.

INDODAX CEO Oscar Darmawan stated that the 2024 ISFF aims to encourage young filmmakers to explore cinema innovation and find their own style. The festival also wants to build a bridge between young creators and industry professionals, opening opportunities for collaboration and wider career development.

"We want to ensure that ISFF is committed to supporting young Indonesian filmmakers to be increasingly involved and achieve. ISFF is a place to show off and a platform for creators to present their best work," he said, in a written statement, Friday, August 9.

According to Oscar Darmawan, through ISFF 2024, his party can provide opportunities for filmmakers to produce works that can be enjoyed by many people.

"We also see films as one of the strong media that can be used to convey messages and inspiring stories, in addition to being part of the creative journey of young filmmakers in their work," he explained.

This year, ISFF 2024 will be held at the Salihara Theater, South Jakarta with a jury consisting of Mira Lesmana (Film Producer), Dedih Nur Fajar Paksi (Practition & Lecturer), and Anjas Maradita (Content Creator). Various nominations for categories contested are Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Scenario, and Best Actor.

The ISFF 2024 regulation that is implemented requires participants to be Indonesian citizens with a minimum age of 18 years for the person in charge. The film sent must be genuine, along with the inclusion of the INDODAX brand placement, and has never been competed in other events. The duration of the film is between 3 and 15 minutes and cannot contain elements of SARA or copyrighted material, with the film genre open to all types, including drama, comedy, and action.
