Minister Basuki: Room For Plenary Cabinet Session At IKN Ready To Use

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the room for the inaugural plenary cabinet session at IKN is ready to be used.

"The Director General (Dirjen) of Cipta Karya Mrs. Diana Kusumastuti and the Chairperson of the Task Force (Satgas) for the Implementation of IKN Infrastructure Development, Mr. Danis H Sumadilaga, have been there since two days ago and reported earlier that the Garuda Palace is ready, the room for the plenary cabinet session is ready," Basuki said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 9.

He added that electricity, water, and air conditioning (AC), including the President of the Republic of Indonesia's bedroom, were ready.

"Then, the State Palace is also ready, there are several furniture that have just arrived today and tomorrow will be installed," he said.

Basuki will return to IKN on August 10, 2024, to carry out the final check.

"On August 10, I went there to do the final check," said Basuki.

He also said that several landed houses of ministerial positions were ready to be inhabited and Hotel Nusantara was also ready to be used.

The ministers who will attend the Plenary Cabinet Session at IKN may have ministers who are expected to live and live in landed houses of ministerial positions, as well as ministers who may later stay at the Nusantara Hotel.

For information, Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that his party continues to finalize preparations ahead of the inaugural plenary cabinet meeting at IKN on August 12, 2024.

Yusuf said various preparations were being made, starting from departure to stay-at-home for ministers and ministerial-level officials.

The ministers will depart on Sunday 11 August and will then stay at the Nusantara Hotel, before attending the plenary cabinet session the next day, Monday, August 12.

The Ministry of PUPR has prepared the Garuda Palace and the State Palace as a place for a cabinet meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo at IKN.
