JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially formed a Task Force for the Acceleration of Investment in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).
The task force was formed after Jokowi signed Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 25 of 2024 which was issued on Monday, August 5.
Based on a copy of the Presidential Decree seen by VOI, there were nine tasks carried out by the Task Force.
Starting from encouraging increased policy coordination between the Capital Archipelago Authority and related ministries/agencies and partner areas, aligning land acquisition, planning development and spatial planning as well as developing and utilizing land for priority investment activities in the Capital Nusantara to encourage the creation of coordination of supervision and control of the implementation of investment activities in IKN.
Article 4, it is explained that the Task Force has a number of structures, namely the Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary, Member, Executive Member and Secretariat. The chairman of the Task Force is the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM who is currently held by Bahlil Lahadalia.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the Task Force is the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN who is now held by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the Head of OIKN who is now held by the acting (Plt), namely the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.
Members in the Task Force themselves are the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Environment and Forestry, Minister of PUPR, Minister of SOEs, Attorney General, Chief of Police and Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners.
The Implementing Members are filled by various deputies and director generals in various ministries/agencies.
