5-star Hotels At IKN Ready To Welcome Important Guests At The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Swissotel Nusantara manager in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, has completed 98 percent of preparations for welcoming important state guests at the 79th Indonesian Independence Day event on August 17, 2024.

This was conveyed by General Manager of Swissotel Nusantara Aldo P Situmorang in the lobby of Hotel Nusantara, Penajam Paser Utara, Friday.

"Because of the main needs of restaurants and rooms, it is 98 percent ready," he said, quoted from Antara.

His party provided a total of 191 rooms in the hotel building as high as nine floors located in a strategic location on Jalan Asbu Timur IKN. The location is close to the Garuda Palace Building and the IKN Kilometer Zero Point area which is the crossing of the Autonomous Train.

Construction of the hotel construction, which began with the laying of the first stone in September 2023, said Aldo, facilitates four room classes, ranging from the premium king, twin, grand room, suite king and presidential suite types with a room area ranging from 32 to 51 square meters.

Aldo said, all rooms and consortium facilities have all been ordered by the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) for the needs of VVIP and VIP guest inns while at IKN from 16 to 18 August 2024.

"Everything is booked from the State Secretariat, almost the average guest is state officials," he said.

Aldo said that the need for furniture and hotel supplies was made through the work of the nation's children and had all been imported from Jakarta.

In the restaurant section, the management has completed open kitchen and private dine-in facilities with local cultural nuances of Kalimantan.

In addition to electricity, the hotel also provides internet networks through collaboration with PT Telkom and PLN, so that the internet network has run smoothly.

Swissotel Nusantara will also install a special icon called Swiss Circle which is inspired by the icons in the archipelago and will be placed in the lobby area.

"There is one special icon for those who come here to know. We call this a surprise element. I can't say now, but the name is also a surprise, this is in one of the element icons in Switzerland," he said.
