Jokowi Calls Cabinet Reshuffle In The Near Future Can Happen If Necessary

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed that reshuffles in the cabinet can be carried out if needed.

"Yes, you can (reshuffle) if needed," he said after the Opening Ceremony of the X Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) Economic and Digital Finance Festvial (FEKDI) 2024, Thursday, August 1.

However, Jokowi is reluctant to speak further regarding the issue of a cabinet reshuffle in the near future, because there is news that the reshuffle of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif will be replaced by Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia.

"Who did he say?" he said.

According to Jokowi, the issue will not answer this matter, so there is no need to answer it.

"Who said it? Yes, I don't have to answer the issue, I don't answer," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif was rumored to be replaced by Bahlil Lahadalia, who currently serves as Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

Met at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Arifin Tasrif asked the media crew to wait for further news regarding the circulating issues.

"Yes, just wait," said Arifin, Tuesday, July 30.

When asked about the truth of the news, Arifin only responded with a small laugh.

"Yes, if that's true, why?" concluded Arifin as he passed.
