Through The JAKONIK Program, Bank DKI Achieves The 2024 IDX Channel ESG Award Award

JAKARTA - Bank DKI has again won an award for the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program run by the Company. This time from the Media IDX Channel for the Special Award category of the Financial and Investment Sector, at the IDX Channel Anugrah ESG 2024 with the theme "Optimizing ESG To Drive Value Creation", which was held in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 25.

The award was given to the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Arie Rinaldi representing the President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo. The award was achieved specifically on the consistent implementation of the CSR Bank DKI program, Jakarta Hydroponic Cooperatives (JAKONIK) as a flagship program in implementing the goal of Sustainable Development (SDGs) point 1, namely ending poverty in all forms everywhere, point 2 creating conditions without hunger, and point 15 increasing the sustainable use of the mainland ecosystem.

President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his official statement explained that apart from being a business entity, Bank DKI also acts as a facilitator of community growth and economic equality in DKI Jakarta. "The Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR) implemented at Bank DKI also focuses on the goal of strengthening the local community and improving the welfare of the quality of life of the community," said Agus, in his statement, Friday, July 26.

Jakarta The Hydroponic Cooperative (JAKONIK) is the leading CSR program of Bank DKI which has been implemented since 2014. JAKONIK involves the active participation of the community in developing hydroponic gardens based on community empowerment. Jakarta hydroponic cooperatives already have 11 (ten) groups of members in the flats in Jakarta, namely Jatinegara Kaum Flats, KS Tubun, Jati Rawasari, Daan Mogot, South Cipinang Besar, Pondok Bambu, Tipar Cakung, Tamborawa Tower, Pulo Gebang, Rusunawa Pasar Rebo, and most recently in RPTRA Cibubur are filled.

JAKONIK members have received training and guidance to increase their crops and manage hydroponic businesses comprehensively, from upstream to downstream, starting from hydroponic marketing centers, business assistants, education providers, as well as facilitators for needs such as fertilizers, seeds, and equipment.

The IDX Channel Anugerah ESG 2024 is an appreciation event for peak companies and executives who are dedicated to the implementation of sustainable business in Indonesia. Several indicators that are used as assessment criteria include aspects of ESG Performance, Strategy & Policy, ESG Reporting, Leadership Commitment, and Stakeholder Particiation.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added that as one of the flagship CSR programs of Bank DKI, JAKONIK is expected to have a big positive impact on the surrounding community, with the aim of improving their quality of life and moving the local economy.

Jakonik's success has proven effective in reducing social inequality and comprehensively improving the quality of life of the community, said Arie.
