SIG Wins The Most Extraordinary Women Business Leaders Award 2024

JAKARTA - The commitment of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in implementing sustainability principles is strengthened by the realization of an inclusive work environment that allows every Company talent to contribute optimally. Recently, GIS received the The Most Extraordinary Women Business Leaders 2024 award on behalf of the Director of Operations for SIG, Reni Wulandari, at the Indonesia Most Powerful Women Business Leaders event organized by SWA Magazine at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta.

GIS Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said that GIS has a pillar in the Sustainability Road Map 2030 to create value for employees and communities. One of the strategies is to create an inclusive work environment so that all employees can develop and work towards the Company's main goals. This commitment is strengthened by the existence of a Respectful Workplace Policy (RWP) to support the creation of an inclusive work environment that respects differences, prioritizes gender equality, and upholds human rights (HAM).

"SIG provides the same opportunity for women's talents to take part and play a role in companies based on the principles of equality and fairness in the process of managing human resources (HR). Currently, the top female talent in GIS has reached 20% of the total number of employees. This proves that GIS creates an ecosystem that supports women to develop careers without distinguishing gender, but based on the consideration of competence and performance assessment," said Vita Mahreyni, in her statement, Tuesday, July 23.

GIS has implemented the RWP policy in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Minister of SOEs Number SE-3/MBU/04/2022 concerning Policy to Conduct Mutual Respect in the Workplace in the BUMN Environment. In addition, to support the creation of a productive and motivating work environment, SIG also has a performance management system, policies and road maps for the company's cultural internalization, scholarship programs to continue lectures, innovation competitions, as well as the provision of supporting facilities such as lactation, recreation, as well as sports.

As recipients of The Most Extraordinary Women Business Leaders 2024 award, SIG Operations Director, Reni Wulandari is considered to have contributed positively to maintaining company performance with effective, efficient and environmentally friendly operational management, through cost leadership strategies and sustainable development approaches.

In the midst of challenging industrial dynamics, this cost leadership and sustainable development strategy has proven to be able to contribute to maintaining solid fundamentals to support the Company's performance, as well as providing added value to the public the presence of environmentally-friendly building materials (SNI), optimizing the high level of domestic components (TKDN) in the production process in GIS factories, realizing low-carbon industries, and improving employee competence and empowerment.
