Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Team Reveals Budget For Free Nutrition Eating Is Different From Each Region

JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Task Force Team for Communications Hasan Nasbi emphasized that his party has not determined the budget for a free nutritious eating program.

So, he said, the news circulating that the budget for the implementation of free nutritious food was cut to Rp7,500 per portion is not true.

It is known, the issue of cutting the free nutritious food budget to Rp7,500 was conveyed by economist Verdhana Sekuritas Heriyanto Irawan.

He claimed to have been invited to discuss with Prabowo's team about eating free nutritious food.

"So, there is no such figure. That number doesn't exist at all. That's why we are confused outside of numbers. Meanwhile, we don't have any figures yet," Hasan said at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, July 19.

Hasan said that the price per portion of free nutritious food will depend on the types of menus and raw materials available in their respective regions.

"Regarding the exact price, it will depend on the types of menus and raw materials, food ingredients available in various regions, so the menu will not be the same in various regions," he said.

Hasan assessed that the free nutritious menu will not be the same in each region and the free nutritious food menu will still meet nutritional adequacy standards.

"It depends on the availability of food there or with the food available, what kind of nutritional needs we can mix per month. So that's roughly the way and the process we're working on," he said.

For information, the government has prepared a budget of IDR 71 trillion for the Free Nutrition Food program in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN).

The Free Nutrition Food is a mainstay program for the government of the President and Vice President Elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"The free nutritious food program that has been allocated in the 2025 RAPBN budget is Rp71 trillion," said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in a press conference on the latest economic fundamental conditions and the 2025 State Budget plan, Monday, June 24.

Airlangga said the amount of the budget had been agreed upon by Elected President Prabowo Subianto during a joint meeting with the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, as well as the government synchronization Task Force team led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

"In principle, he understands and agrees with the things discussed at the meeting, including support for programs that become superior programs and one of which is a free nutritious eating program," he explained.
