JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) reports that Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from lobster cultivation has reached IDR 3,606,692,000 since the enactment of lobster governance regulations.

Of this total, Rp2,705,019,000 will be allocated to the cultivators, while the remaining Rp901,673,000 will be managed by BLU for a sustainable lobster management program.

"Since the Ministerial Regulation (Permen) 7 (2024) was enforced, the number (PNBP) is around Rp. 3.6 billion. Imagine if so far many people say that every day BBL flies abroad, we get nothing. Now, we have PNBP thanks to this policy," said Assistant for Special Media Tasks and Public Communication of the KKP Doni Ismanto in a press conference related to the Update on the Development of the Lobster Seed Smuggling Case (BBL) at the KKP office, Thursday, July 18.

Doni said that this state revenue donation marked the success of the Lobster Governance policy through the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation (PermenKP) Number 7 of 2024.

He also denied the issue that this new regulation would facilitate BBL exports.

According to Doni, the main objective of PermenKP Number 7 of 2024 is to support cultivation and maintain the sustainability of Natural Resources (SDA).

"We are targeting exports, we are not targeting exports. The proof is that the PNBP is also not big. So, we really aim to cultivate it," he said.

However, he said, if there is a desire to export, the government through the KKP will facilitate in accordance with legal procedures and requirements from the destination country.

"So, please here see something clearly. We see something according to the purpose of the PermenKP. If we look at it clearly, this is what we are transparently, we are open to everything," he concluded.
