PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) confirmed that it is ready to supply low sulfur fuel oil (BBM) for new low sulfur fuel products which is planned to be launched on August 17, 2024.
"Oh ready. We have finished the main coordination later, ready for low sulfur August 17 right. Later we will support (Pertamina) Patra Niaga," said PT KPI President Director Taufik Aditiyawarman to the media, Wednesday, July 17.
Taufik said that later the fuel to be produced will be diesel fuel with a low sulfu content of 50 PPM which is in accordance with the Euro 4 standard.
Taufik also revealed that later the fuel with the Euro 4 standaer will be supplied from the Balongan Refinery, Indramayu, West Java, which is already able to produce ultra low fuel.
"Yes, 50 PPM Diesel first. Take it from Balongan. It's already bisa ultra low pulphur," he explained.
Furthermore, Taufik explained, his party has agreed to supply 900,000 barrels of diesel per month, according to the ability of the Balongan Refinery.
"For August 17, if I'm not mistaken, it will be circulated at three gas stations in Jakarta first," he concluded.
