BOGOR - Professor of the University of Nusa Bangsa (UNB), Prof. Luluk Setyaningsih, gave his views regarding the capacity of the vision and mission for the candidate for mayor Atang Trisnanto in terms of environmental awareness and optimization of urban space with the yard tourism program.
As an academic in the field of Tropical Cyvirculture, Luluk sees Atang's studies in the forestry world and political experience as a big capital to lead Bogor City, a city with the nickname 'Rain City'.
According to Luluk, Bogor City has serious challenges such as landslides, track floods, fallen trees, and degradation of green open space.
The city of Bogor, geographically, administratively, history, as well as ecology-environment, can be said to be a city with a thousand privileges, with various problems in urban areas. Atang-Anida's idea to care about the environment, as well as the use of limited space to be more productive (array tourism), seems to be an idea that adapts to the special character of Bogor City, "said Luluk.
He also assessed the importance of Atang if he was elected Mayor of Bogor to revitalize green areas throughout the city, as an update and complement to rice fields tourism in Mulyaharja, which had become an icon in the Bima Arya era.
Realizing this idea requires adequate knowledge and experience, as well as strong political will. The background of Atang's education and experience in various community activities and as the top leader of the Bogor City DPRD has become a contribution to convince the realization of the idea," he added.
In the context of President Prabowo's vision to advance farmers and increase national economic growth by up to 8 percent, as in the era of President Soeharto, Luluk stated that Bogor City could play a strategic role. The city must work hard to increase local economic growth from 5.10 percent to 8 percent.
"The city of Bogor with all its privileges, of course, plays an important role in contributing to realizing national economic growth, by seeking at least 8 percent of regional economic growth, or Bogor City must work hard to increase regional economic growth by 3 percent, from the previous 5.10," explained Luluk.
"The service and goods sector, household, industry, micro and macro, national and multinational, as well as the potential for carbon trafficking, should be a comprehensive focus of development," he said.
According to him, various development mechanisms are important alternative, by utilizing the potential of natural resources, human resources, governance efficiency, through efforts to increase space productivity, cooperation in the surrounding area, collaborating with various research institutions to produce technology and products.
In addition, it also expands the reach of regional and global markets. Innovative leaders can translate efforts to achieve these economic growth improvements in their various programs
Atang Trisnanto, who is paired with Annida Allivia, the representative of Gen Z generation, is considered by Luluk as the ideal combination to represent all levels of society.
"Anrida's existence can be an attraction for the younger generation, especially in the urban agricultural sector which is increasingly relevant. If programs such as incentives of Rp. 10 million per month for young farmers are realized, this can inspire many Gen Z to enter agriculture, both in the yard and outside areas," he said.
Luluk added that the inclusive, analytical, and precise approach to Atang has been proven through his role as Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD for the 2019-2024 period.
"His ability to explore facts, involve many stakeholders, and make strategic decisions showing the character of the leaders needed by the City of Bogor," he concluded.
