Community Interest Increases, KAI Records Train Suite Class Partition Serves 13,514 Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI recorded an increase in the number of sales of class Suite Class Partment train tickets.

In the period January to June 2024, KAI has sold 13,514 Suite Class Partment class tickets.

The peak volume of passengers in this class occurred in May 2024 as many as 2,492 passengers or an average of 80 passengers per day. This Suite Class Partment class train is paired with KA Bima (Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng pp) and KA Argo Semeru (Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng pp).

KAI VP Public Relations Anne Purba explained, the Suite Class Partment train was launched on October 10, 2023, and is currently the highest class in passenger train services, class with world-class airline first class.

According to Anne, this train is also in demand after previously KAI increased travel time in various Kolidor relations as an example of the Bima Train for the Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng relationship, which previously traveled 11 hours 31 minutes (in 2021) to a travel time of 10 hours 30 minutes (in 2023).

The seat can be donated up to 180 degrees so that it can function as a bed. The seat can be rotated so that passengers can adjust to the direction of the train journey.

In addition to the Suite Class Partment train, continued Anne, KAI also noted that the increase also occurred on the Luxury class train. During January to June 2024, it has served 82,684 passengers.

Up 46 percent compared to the same period in 2023 as many as 56,567 passengers. The peak volume of Luxury class passengers occurred in April 2024 as many as 17,353 passengers or an average of 578 passengers per day," said Anne.

Luxury class trains are paired with Argo Dwipangga (Gambir-Solo Balapan pp), Argo Bromo Anggrek (Gambir-Surabaya Pasarturi pp), Argo Lawu (Gambir-Solo Balapan pp), Argo Parahyangan (Gambir-Bandung pp), Gajayana (Gambir-Malang pp), Sembrani (Gambir-Surabaya Pasarturi pp), Taksaka (Gambir-Yogyakarta pp), and Additional Manahan (Gambir-Solo Balapan pp).

There are currently 3 generations of Luxury class trains. The first generation was launched on June 12, 2018, the second generation was launched on May 26, 2019, and the third generation (New Generation) was launched on December 13, 2023," he said.
