Director General Of Taxes: NIK-NPWP Funding Is 99 Percent

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance stated that the process of matching the Population Identification Number (NIK) with the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) has reached 99 percent.

"The NIK and NPWP procurement is 99 percent, only 400 thousand that we have not put forward," said Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo during the Spectaxcular 2024 Tax Simplicial Campaign activity at Plaza Tenggara Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Sunday.

Suryo added that a number of tax administration services can be accessed using 16 digits of NIK and NPWP.

DGT targets 16 digit NPWP to be used to access all tax services next month.

"Starting August, all services can use a new NPWP, which is 16 digits or using a NIK," he said.

Previously, the DGT announced that there were seven administrative services that could be accessed using a 16-digit NIK, 16-digit NPWP, and Business Activity Site Identity Number (NITKU) starting July 1, 2024.

The seven services include taxpayer registration (e-Registration), Taxpayer Profile account at Online DGT, Taxpayer Status confirmation information (KSWP Info), issuance of cut evidence and reporting of SPT Article 21/26 (e-Bupot 21/26), issuance of cutting evidence and reporting of SPT for the Unification PPh Period (e-Bupot Unification), issuance of cutting evidence and reporting of SPT Period Article 21/26 government agencies and SPT for the PPh Unification Period of government agencies (e-Bupot Government Agencies), as well as submission of objections (e-Objection).

This provision is regulated in the Regulation of the Director General of Taxes Number PER-06/PJ/2024 concerning the Use of Population Identification Numbers as Taxpayer Identification Number, Taxpayer Identification Number with 16 Digit Format, and Business Activity Place Identity Number in Tax Administration Service (PER-6).

The Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations Dwi Astuti of the seven services can still be accessed with 15 digits of NPWP.

In addition to the seven services above and services that are not included in the list of announcements that will be issued by the DGT, taxpayers can still access them using 15 digits of NPWP.

For other parties affected by NIK as NPWP and 16 digits of NPWP, DGT provides system adjustment time until December 31, 2024.

Another party in question is the agency or government agency that organizes tax services that include NPWP in providing its services.
