Feasibility Feasibility Test Completed, 2 Kupat Toll Roads Operate Immediately

JAKARTA - Anak usaha PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) telah selesai melaksanakan serangkaian Uji Laik Fungi (ULF) di dua ruas Jalan Tol Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat (Kualpat). Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan selama dua hari mulai 10 Juni hingga 12 Juni.

The two sections in question are the Indrapura-Kuala Tanjung (Section 2) section along 10.15 km and the Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan-Senaksak section (Seksi 3 and part of Section 4) along 45.4 km.

President Director of PT Hutama Marga Waskita, Dindin Solakhuddin said the ULF aims to test the specification of technical requirements and road equipment to ensure the safety of road users' comfort.

"We have done the ULF preparations carefully through a preparation meeting on Monday. As an effort to accelerate the operation of the two Kutepat Toll Roads, ULF is carried out on both sections to ensure that everything is in accordance with standards, both in terms of traffic safety and toll quality itself," he said in an official statement, Sunday, July 14.

Dindin said the scope of inspection on these two toll roads was divided into two lanes. On the Indrapura-Kuala Tanjung (Section 2) section covering STA 0 + 000 to 10 + 150, the Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan section covers STA 0 + 000 to 30 + 000.

Meanwhile, continued Dindin, the Serbelawan-Sinaksak section includes STA 30 + 000 to 45 + 630. After the series of specification tests are carried out, discussions will be carried out regarding the results of the tests from each sub-team at the Plenary Meeting on the Results of the Examination which will be held on Monday, July 15.

"The construction of these two Kutepas sections is also due to support from various agencies. Hopefully, these two sections can immediately operate and get the results of the examination of the artingga for the creation of a wider connectivity network in North Sumatra," he said.

With the length of the To Kutepa Road network, continued Dindin, these two toll roads will connect the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) backbone and the feeder route to Kuala Tanjung Port and to the Lake Toba Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP).

In addition, continued Dindin, these two sections will cut the travel time of the people from Medan to Kuala Tanjung, it will take 2 hours to become only 1 hour.

"Meanwhile, what was originally from Medan to Sinaksak took 3 hours, with the toll road it would only take 1.5 hours," he said.
