Minister Suharso Disbursed The Achievement Of Development Growth Towards The Vision Of Indonesia Gold 2045

JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa revealed, a number of achievements in development growth towards the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

First, related to solid economic growth. Suharso said that Indonesia's economic growth continued to grow above 5 percent.

Meanwhile, throughout 2023, Indonesia's economic growth was 5.05 percent, while until the first quarter of 2024 Indonesia's economic growth reached 5.11 percent.

"In the midst of very high global dynamics, Indonesia's economic growth, thank God, is still above 5 percent and inflation, thank God, thank God we can control it," said Suharso at the Green Economy Expo 2024: Advancing Technology, Innovation and Circularity at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta, Wednesday, July 3.

Then, Indonesia is one of the countries that has natural resources and is also rich in biodiversity. With this biodiversity, Indonesia's environmental quality index continues to increase.

"Indonesia continues to maintain the quality of its environment. Given, its position as one of the natural resource countries and which is also rich in biodiversity, including the highest in the world. Our environmental quality index continues to increase and in 2023 it will reach 72.53," he said.

Then, Indonesia also remains committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the last 12 years.

The percentage reduction in greenhouse gas emissions reached 27.82 percent during 2010-2022.

"Indonesia remains committed to the global agreement, in this case Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) and Paris Agreement. (as much as) 62 percent of the SDG's targets have been achieved and emissions have been successfully lowered to 27.82 percent in 2022 on their own efforts," he added.
