Bank Tanah Bakal Prepares 150 Ha Land For TNI/Polri Around IKN Airport

JAKARTA - The Land Bank Agency will prepare 150 hectares (ha) of land for the TNI/Polri around the VVIP Airport in the Capital Nusantara (IKN) in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

"There is a request from the Police covering an area of 150 ha for its land. Government land from the TNI Commander will also be made as a buffer for the houses of the soldiers which will also be built. We will give 150 ha," said Head of Bank Tanah Parman Natamatmadja when met at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 26.

Parman said the plan to provide land for the needs of the National Police was still waiting for permission from the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.

"(The land is given) as soon as possible. This depends on the approval of the committee, namely three ministers (Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Sri Mulyani and Basuki Hadimuljono)," he said.

Even so, Parman did not explain in detail where the specific location for the provision of land covering an area of 150 ha was.

On a different occasion, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force at the Ministry of PUPR, Danis H Sumadilaga, said that the location of the 150 ha land plan was indeed located around VVIP Airport.

"(The location) is around VVIP Airport," he said.

Danis admitted that 150 ha of land was being prepared. However, he has not been able to provide further information about what the land will be used for.

"What I know is, really, (the need for land) for the TNI," he added.
