Bank Muamalat And Tekomsel Establish Financial And Technology Services Cooperation

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk and PT Telekomunikasi Selular Tbk (Telkomsel) have established strategic cooperation in terms of innovation of financial and technological services.

Bank Muamalat SEVP Retail Banking Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan said his party and Telkomsel signed a memorandum of understanding marking the first step of the strategic partnership between the two companies. This collaboration is not only about creating innovative technology solutions, but also wants to have a sustainable positive impact on customers and society in general.

This partnership reflects our commitment to exploring cooperation plans that will provide tangible benefits for loyal customers of Bank Muamalat and loyal customers of Telkomsel. This memorandum of understanding includes various collaborative initiatives, including account opening features through the MyTelkomsel and MyIndihome applications, the Indihome registration feature through the Muamalat-DIN application, as well as the use of Host to Host VA technology in the MyTelkomsel application and the Telkomsel digital cooperative application for payments through Bank Muamalat.

Telkomsel Sales Director Adiwinahyu B. Sigit said this strategic collaboration was one of the many steps that Telkomsel took to move in accelerating the country towards digital sovereignty in the banking sector.

It is hoped that through this collaboration, there will be more opportunities that can encourage service innovation to the community.

"In the future, it is hoped that Telkomsel and Bank Muamalat will be more resilient and integrated and able to optimize the sharing of potential to be developed in strengthening the digital ecosystem of the country's banking sector," he said.

In addition, sharia financing services for cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for Telkomsel customers will become an integral part of this collaboration, in order to strengthen access to inclusive and sustainable financing.

Previously, Bank Muamalat and Telkomsel had collaborated in purchasing Telkomsel Roaming packages through the Muamalat DIN application. Through this feature, customers can choose packages that match their needs in order to use telecommunications services at a more controlled cost when outside the reach area of Telkomsel networks in Indonesia.
