Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto opened his voice regarding market participants' concerns about the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget deficit (APBN) which is expected to increase and ensure that the 2025 State Budget deficit is maintained below 3 percent so there is no need for worry.

"You can see that Germany, France, Italy are between 5 percent-7 percent. Even the central EU of the bank reminds EU countries to be below 3 percent. Indonesia is below 3 percent. So, don't panic yourself," said Airlangga, Friday, June 21.

Airlangga denied that the current Laundering of the Rupiah was an alarm from financial market players so that the new government, namely the President and Vice President Elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, could maintain fiscal sustainability within safe limits.

"If we look at the budget deficit in EU countries, this EU country averages 5 percent-7 percent. The alarm is in Europe, not in Indonesia. Indonesia is still below 3 percent," he explained.

The next government, he said, would maintain a safe limit for the budget deficit in the discussion of the 2025 RAPBN with the DPR in the range of 2.4 percent to 2.8 percent of GDP.

"Don't add more. We are 2.4 percent-2.8 percent below 3 percent, try asking the finance ministers of Germany, Italy, and others, he has received warnings from the central EU bank that EU countries must participate like ASEAN countries," he explained.
