Will Be Crossed By Autonomous Trains, National Advertisement Road At IKN Targeted To Be Completed In July 2024

JAKARTA - Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan which is the main road in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of the State Capital (IKN) is targeted to be completed next July.

Currently, the physical progress of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan has reached 56.83 percent and is expected to be completed according to the target to support the implementation of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Currently, the physical progress of the 5.4 km Nationalism Road has reached 56.83 percent and is expected to be completed in July 2024 to support the implementation of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at IKN," reads the statement in the upload on the official Instagram account @pupr_binamaraga, Wednesday, June 12.

The National Ambu Road itself is designed with a width of 23 meters and consists of 6 lanes, of which 1 lane is specifically used for buses and Autonomous-rail Rapid Transit (ART).

"There is also a 2.7 meter wide bicycle lane and a 4 meter wide pedestrian path equipped with 3 rows of plants," he added.

Later, the road will be equipped with Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT) which integrates drainage, clean water, telecommunications and electrical.

"To support the comfort of pedestrians and cyclists, there are also street furniture such as, shelters, benches, water drinking foam, bike stands and trash bins," he said.

For your information, the National Axis is one of the open space series that will be part of the forerunner of the development of IKN Nusantara, which imaginaryly connects the Presidential Palace to Mangrove Ecopark.
