Airlangga Meets Dmitry Medvedev Agrees To Strengthen Bilateral Relations

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation's National Security Council HE Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow, Russia.

Welcoming Airlangga's presence at his official residence, the former Russian President for the 2008-2012 period expressly expressed his opinion on Indonesia's important role and position in the eyes of Russia, where Indonesia is Russia's main partner and the largest in the Asia Pacific region.

In addition, Medvedev also expressed his joy at this contact and meeting and hoped to discuss various global collaborations and issues that ensure world security.

Airlangga conveyed that the 74th anniversary of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Russia is considered very important to be a momentum in order to strengthen economic cooperation, especially in the trade, industry and investment sectors between the two countries.
