Celebrate 52nd Anniversary, Hipmi Suggests President To Launch National Entrepreneurship Day

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) will turn 52 on Monday 10 June 2024. On this occasion, Hipmi suggested to President Joko Widodo to declare National Entrepreneurship Day on June 10 at Hipmi's proposal.

Chairman of the Central Executive Board (BPP) Hipmi Akbar Himawan Buchari explained, after being formed on June 10, 1972, Hipmi succeeded in forming a young entrepreneurial generation who played an important role in the national economy.

"Hipmi not only scored young entrepreneurs, but also gave birth to leaders at the national and regional levels. This is proof that Hipmi has succeeded in realizing his vision and mission," Akbar said in his official statement, quoted on Saturday, June 8.

At the age of more than half a century, Hipmi has shown maturity as an organization and cadre who has been born. Thus, Akbar said, this celebration will be used as a momentum to increase Hipmi's role in supporting national development.

Akbar said Hipmi's 52nd Anniversary would also be used as a momentum to appreciate President Joko Widodo. This is because Jokowi is very concerned about the business world. It is evident from the increase in the number of entrepreneurs during his leadership period.

"Pak Jokowi's role is very significant. Since he was inaugurated until the end of the leadership, tens of millions of new entrepreneurs have been born and contributed to the national economy," said Akbar.

In addition, Akbar suggested to the President to declare National Entrepreneurship Day falls on June 10. The hope is that more people will be motivated to become entrepreneurs.

Akbar said, the more entrepreneurs, of course there will be more jobs. This is certainly in line with the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

"With the demographic bonus, and the ecosystem that has been formed, I am sure that Indonesia will become the host in its own country," said Akbar.

The Chief Executive of Hipmi's 52nd Anniversary, Muhammad Aaron Annar Sampetoding, added that this event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta. Hipmi's theme was "Starting Indonesia Forward Towards A Golden Indonesia".

Apart from being attended by President Jokowi, this event will also be attended by President-elect Prabowo Subianto, as well as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Later Luhut will be the keynote speaker with friends to Guard Indonesia Forward Towards Indonesia Gold.

It doesn't stop there. Hipmi's 52nd anniversary will also be filled by the Indonesian Young Leader Forum. "The formation of the panel discussion will be filled by young Indonesian entrepreneurs," explained Aaron.
