Spokesperson For The Ministry Of Transportation Regarding Connected Jabodebek LRT To Bogor: We First Focus On Existing

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has opened its voice regarding the latest news from the plan to connect the Jabodebek LRT to Bogor, West Java.

The government currently chooses to focus on the existing LRT routes.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said the Jabodebek LRT operation itself has not yet been one year.

Therefore, he said, his party will focus on developing the existing LRT.

Currently, the Jabodebek LRT has only connected Jakarta, Bekasi and Depok. Passengers who want to go to Bogor can transit at Harjamukti Depok station. Then you can continue the journey by Trans Pakuan Bus to Bogor City.

Along with this step, Adita said that his party would continue to conduct further studies on the construction of the LRT so that it would reach Bogor.

"We will focus first on what is currently there. There is also not even a year until we will evaluate it first. If the study continues, but of course we will focus first on the current LRT to increase it," he told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 5.

"And that will also be an evaluation material, right, when we will expand the coverage or routes," he continued.

When asked about the possibility that the construction of the LRT to Bogor continued project will not be carried out this year, Adita said this would be the authority of the new government.

"Depending on the new government," he explained.

Regarding the LRT to Bogor follow-up project study target, Adita said that his party had not set a target.

"There is no (target) yet," he said.
