JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the arrangement of the Plengkung Beach area in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said adequate infrastructure availability would accelerate the development of tourist destinations.

The arrangement of the Plengkung Beach area is carried out by the Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of East Java Province, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR from March 2022 to December 2022.

The regional arrangement budget for this area will cost the 2022 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) of IDR 9.4 billion, which is carried out by CV Era Jaya Perkasa contractor with the supervision of PT Amoret Mitra Consulindo.

The scope of work to organize this area includes three zones. Zone I, namely supporting buildings covering the management and guard posts, box culverts, 4 public toilet units as well as health facilities and drainage channels.

Then, Zone II, which includes landscapes covering pedestrian paths in tourist areas, surfer pick-up areas, state sign areas, viewing decks, surfing camp open spaces and tourist areas. Furthermore, Zone III, the main buildings include three substationary buildings and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installations.

The arrangement of the Plengkung Beach Area is included in the development priority area in East Java based on Government Regulation (PP) Number 80 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of Economic Development in the Gresik-Bangkalan-Mojokerto-Surabaya-Sidoarjo-Lamongan- Bromo Tengger Semeru Area and the Wilis and Southern Crossing Selingkar Areas.
